Skepta isn’t here for grown men hounding 13-year-old #NorthWest.

The UK rapper recently went public with his frustration after videos circulated online showing adult male attendees at Paris Fashion Week crowding around #KanyeWest and #KimKardashian’s eldest child. In some of the footage, one man appeared to make her uncomfortable when he grabbed her for a hug, while another draped his arm over her shoulder as she looked visibly upset. Taking to X, Skepta didn’t mince words: “My fans know I try to stay out of people’s business, but d*mn the way grown men, complete strangers, try to use North makes me sick.”

When someone pushed back and questioned whether hugging had become a social offense, Skepta zeroed in on what he saw as a clear signal being ignored. “She is 13 years old, and she put her hand out for a handshake, you don’t ignore that,” he wrote. He grew more pointed after another user suggested North’s public profile meant she had essentially bypassed a normal adolescence, firing back with: “WOW!! Protect your kids people. Protect your kids!” #Skepta closed out the exchange with a broader observation, arguing that body language is a more essential skill than any foreign language taught in school.
