Kehlani Reveals She Nearly Had To Pull The Plug On Her Tour After Septum/Sinus Surgery & Emergency Revision: ‘It Was Scary’

#Kehlani is opening up about the scary health battle that nearly kept her from hitting the road.

The singer shared an emotional nearly four-minute vlog documenting her surgery and healing journey, revealing she underwent septum and sinus surgery just three weeks before opening night after suffering monthly sinus infections and learning her nasal passages were 98% closed. What was expected to be an easy procedure took a turn after a week of normal healing, landing Kehlani in the ER twice and ultimately requiring an emergency revision. “It was scary, and the healing was really rough,” she wrote in the caption, explaining she was repeatedly told that she couldn’t sing or dance and lost most of their rehearsals. Kehlani’s #KehlaniWorldTour kicked off August 6 in Minneapolis, and despite the setback, she made it to the stage and has continued performing.

And the health issues haven’t completely let up. Kehlani recently had to postpone two tour stops after being hospitalized with severe pain and difficulty swallowing, but returned to the road on August 29 in Virginia. Now, she’s taking it all in stride, saying, “diamonds are absolutely made out of pressure,” and adding, “being able to breathe is crazy, don’t u ever take it for granted.”
