Lady Gaga has officially stepped into motherhood after welcoming her first child with fiancé Michael Polansky.

Page Six confirmed Friday that the 40-year-old superstar and 42-year-old entrepreneur recently became parents. The baby’s name, sex and exact date of birth have not been publicly revealed.

The couple, who began dating in 2019 and became engaged in 2024, has remained largely out of the spotlight in recent months. Gaga had not been publicly spotted since August after wrapping her Mayhem Ball tour in April.

“She hasn’t really gotten to have a private life since she was like 22 … she’s been laying low since the tour ended,” a source told Page Six, adding that “everything is good.”

“They have an amazing biodome of love. Seems like a really safe place for her.”

Gaga had previously been open about her desire to start a family.

“I’m excited to be a mom. I used to have a lot of apprehension about it,” she told The New York Times in March 2025.

“The thing that’s the most important to me is to not force my children to live a life that they are not choosing. So the more that we can give them space to discover who they are on their own, that’s the thing that I believe in the most.”

She also admitted, “I’m also kind of at war with myself sometimes as I get ready to, hopefully, become a mom soon.”

Gaga later asked, “How do I live a life where I’m passionate about my art while also making more space for other things?”

Months later, she made her hopes even clearer: “I would like to do many things. All of these things are open. But, what I really want, is to be a mom. That’s my next starring role, I hope.”
