Rapper Takeoff’s Alleged K*ller Wants B*llets From Fatal Sh**ting Independently Examined
Before M*rder Trial
Patrick Xavier Clark, the man accused of k*lling Migos rapper Takeoff, is asking a judge for access to key physical evidence as he prepares to stand trial later this year.
According to TMZ, Clark wants permission for an independent expert to inspect evidence currently being held by the Houston Police Department, including b*llets connected to the d*adly 2022 sh**ting.
The request comes ahead of Clark’s m*rder trial, which is scheduled to begin in November. His defense team reportedly wants its own expert to review the evidence as part of its trial preparation.
Clark was arrested in December 2022 and charged with m*rder in connection with the sh**ting d*ath of Takeoff, whose real name was Kirsnik Khari Ball.
Takeoff was fatally sh*t on November 1, 2022, outside a Houston bowling alley following a private event. Authorities have alleged Clark fired the sh*t that struck the rapper in the head.
Clark has denied being responsible for the k*lling.
The Grammy-nominated rapper was just 28 years old when he d*ed. Takeoff rose to fame alongside his uncle Quavo and cousin Offset as one-third of Migos, the Atlanta rap group behind major hits including “Bad and Boujee,” “Stir Fry” and “Walk It Talk It.”
While Clark’s criminal case continues, Takeoff’s family has also been dealing with a separate legal dispute. His parents have reportedly been fighting over how money from a wrongful d*ath lawsuit settlement should be divided.
Clark’s November trial is expected to bring renewed attention to the evidence surrounding Takeoff’s d*ath.
