A family battle over Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s estate is getting even more personal, with his mother now claiming she has been cut off from her granddaughter since the actor’s d*ath

Pamela Warner says Malcolm’s widow, Tenisha Warner, has “terminated” her relationship with granddaughter MacKenzie Warner as the two sides continue fighting over the late actor’s multimillion-dollar estate.

According to new court documents, Pamela said she has no “ill-will” toward Tenisha and does not understand what is motivating her actions. She claims the relationship with MacKenzie ended after Malcolm d*ed in July 2025 while traveling in Costa Rica.

The estate dispute has also centered on a Los Angeles property Tenisha says Malcolm intended to leave to her and their daughter. Tenisha previously accused Pamela of selling the home despite those alleged wishes.

Pamela disputes that version of events, arguing Tenisha misrepresented the circumstances surrounding the sale. She said the estate did not have enough money to cover the property’s ongoing expenses, which reportedly totaled about $9,000 per month.

Pamela also pushed back against Tenisha’s position that she should receive nothing from Malcolm’s estate.

The legal fight reportedly began after Tenisha accused Pamela of relying on a trust that did not include either her or MacKenzie.

Pamela has since reached a settlement with MacKenzie’s guardian in an effort to resolve part of the dispute without Tenisha. She is now asking a judge to approve that agreement as the larger estate battle continues.
