Diddy Could Leave Prison Sooner Than Expected As Release Date Moved Up Again

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ prison release date could reportedly be pushed back as the music mogul faces allegations of additional violations behind bars, while his team is questioning how recordings and information about him are making their way out of the federal facility.

According to Deadline, Combs is facing scrutiny over alleged prison violations, including claims involving contraband. The outlet reports that disciplinary action could potentially cost Combs good-conduct time and ultimately extend how long he remains behind bars.

Amid the latest reports, Combs’ team is raising concerns about how information from inside the prison is being obtained and circulated. A crisis communications representative for Combs told Deadline,

“There is something odd about all of this. Someone was apparently able to record Sean inside the prison, and numerous stories continue to emerge from inside the facility in real time.”

The representative continued,

“Yet the focus inevitably lands on the celebrity because he is the person everyone recognizes. There are legitimate questions about how recordings and information are making their way out of a federal prison in the first place.”

Combs’ representative added that focusing “almost exclusively on the famous inmate” may make for an easier headline but “overlooks the broader question of how this material is being obtained and circulated.” Combs is currently serving a 50-month federal sentence after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex-trafficking charges.
