Chris Lighty Memorial Service Today

The memorial service for 44-year-old music executive, Chris Lighty, will take place today at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel on Madison Avenue. Last Thursday, the Violator Records founder, shot himself in the head at his Bronx home, while moving out. There are conflicting reports as to what triggered his suicide (some say a heated argument with his wife, Veronica Lighty, while some argue financial and professional stress). A source says he was overheard saying “Im tired of this” and walked into the backyard, where he shot himself. Chris leaves behind six children and his wife, Veronica.
