Eddie Long Admits to Trips, Hugging, Denies Sexual Contact
On Monday, Bishop Eddie Long responded to the four pending lawsuits separately.
According to AJC, the suit read that, “Bishop Long admits that it is common among his church congregation for members to hug each other and hug the Bishop.” In the suit, Long also admits to purchasing gifts (like cars), providing financial assistance, and being referred to “daddy.” In Long’s defense, he does explain that he often provides financial help with members’ rent, mortgage, etc. It is also common in his church, New Birth, for members to refer to him as their father.
