It’s Official, Nene Leakes’ Spinoff,’I Dream Of Nene’ To Air This Fall
We hate to say we told you so, but our accidental celebrity stalking lead us to this.
On Monday, while we were minding our business at a fancy restaurant in Atlanta, we spotted none other than RHOA’s NeNe Leakes filming with the BRAVO crew. Initially, we assumed it was for RHOA, but a) they’re off season and b) her good girlfriend, Marlo Hampton, was filming with her. After some add’l snooping, I mean research, we confirmed that it was in fact for her new spin-off that was confirmed today.
Premiering in the fall, I Dream Of Nene: The Wedding will follow the New Normal star, as she plans the nuptials to her ex-hubby Gregg Leakes with celebrity wedding/event planner Tiffany Cook. Leakes will also attempt to reconcile with her estranged father (who she tried to find during seasons one and two) and with Gregg’s children from previous relationships.
If you remember, in 2010, Gregg infamously said in a radio interview that he had invested $300,000 into her acting career and fame had gone to Nene’s head. A year later the couple divorced after 14 years of marriage. The couple reconciled and announced their engagement in January.
Nene expressed her excitement on Twitter:
Congrats to the couple!
