Ashanti Announces New Album

It’s been a while (3 years to be exact) since we’ve heard some new music from Ashanti; and if you’ve missed her, you won’t hafta wait much longer. She just announced that she’s working on her 5th studio album via @usweekly‘s twitter page.  Earlier this week, Ashanti took over the news magazines twitter page to answer fan questions.  She told Essence that she’s ready to make her comeback and that the album’s sound will be influenced “by living in Los Angeles and real-life experiences.” Usweekly tweeted upon her arrival “@Ashanti is at the usweekly office now playing some of her new songs for our Senior Music editor…” In response to a fan’s question, Ashanti tweeted from the usweekly account “Single is coming out way sooner than you think ;)” @TheNEWWhitleyG
