Amerie Jumps the Broom Today, Peep the Wedding Dets + the “Homewrecker” Rumors

Love is in the air! R&B songstress Ameriie and her long-time boyfriend, Lenny Nicholson (of Columbia Records) are tying the knot in Anguilla. Amerie confirmed the rumor with Essence.

“Essence readers have been huge supporters of my music career and it is my joy to share exclusively with you the good news of my wedding tomorrow. I am elated. I have been in love for the past 7 and a half years and it is my joy to share the good news with you. My future husband Lenny Nicholson is a wonderful man whom I love. Thank you so much for your love and support.  We are so very excited and full of joy on the eve of our wedding. We thank everyone for their well wishes and love.”

The ceremony takes place at the Hotel Viceroy at 5 p.m., with the bride wearing a Monique Lhullier gown customized by designer Mark Ingram, while the groom wears a Hugo Boss tux. Amerie’s pastor Reverend Phillip E. Knight, Sr. will officiate.

And in not-so-positive news, a few days ago rumors and the history about Amerie and Lenny Nicholson circulated. Word on the street is, Amerie and Lenny began a relationship while they worked together (Amerie as an artist) and Lenny (as an executive, who worked as her manager). The short and dirty is that the two began a relationship while Lenny had a girlfriend (named Akiba) and Lenny’s girlfriend was pregnant at the time, with their second child. According to this same rumor, Lenny, who has two children with Akiba doesn’t pay child support. This is all alleged and you can check it out at Tattle Tailzz.

I feel bad for the rumor hitting on their wedding day, but hell, I try to be as balanced as I can….especially when said folks don’t confirm or deny–which they are not obligated to. It’s tough when a few folks involved have confirmed their version of the story :9 (BTW, that’s my new happy face). Any-way, congrats to the couple!
