Simon Cowell Takes Beyonce Diss Back After X–Factor Performance

In an interview with Esquire way back in 2005, talent critic, Simon Cowell, said this about Beyonce,
“I find the whole Beyonce thing really mystifying. She’s not sexy, she hasn’t got a great body and she’s not a great singer.”
Now he has decided that his statement was actually far from the truth. In a recent interview with Extra TV, he talked about what happened after he made that rude comment long ago. He said that he ran into Beyonce one day afterward and felt a bit awkward being around her, after he’d just criticized her so harshly.
“I once criticized her then met her afterwards. Boy, oh boy that was a difficult meeting.”
He continued on to talk about how Beyonce came to perform on his UK X–Factor show a year later and blew him away with her vocals. He also claims that after her awesome performance she gave him a side-glance as if to say, “Now, What, Simon!” Of the incident he explained,
“Then she came on my show about a year later in the UK and it was still obviously in her head what I said and I apologized, I was wrong. She sang better than anyone I’ve ever heard in my whole life. Then at one point, she looked over to me and went ‘criticize that.’ Her eyes. I’ll never forget the look.”
