Rick Ross Pulls Out of Supafest & It’s Not Because of His Health

This week, we learned that Diddy and Missy Elliott would not performing at this year’s Supafest in Australia. And Friday, we learned that another big act, Rick Ross, would not be performing at Supafest. While many people speculated that Ross was pulling out because of health concerns, according to his camp, his absence is due to contractual issues. His rep told AllHipHop.com:

“[Rick] Ross was looking forward to touching the people of Australia, this event as it is the one of biggest urban festivals in Australia, he is very disappointed that he will not be performing….It is unfortunate that the payment arrangements did not meet contractual deadlines.”

Other acts like Chris Brown, Kelly Rowland, Lupe Fiasco, Ice Cube, Trey Songz, Naughty By Nature and Big Sean are still on the show’s bill. In non Supafest news, Ricky’s new video, Ring Ring, will be released on MTV2 Sucker Free.
