Last week, Tyra Banks surprisingly announced that she had fired three of her America’s Next Top Model co-stars, Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel, and J. Alexander. Afterward, both Tyra and Nigel tweeted their sadness over the separation.

Now, Tyra has come forth to explain why she let go of her long-time partners, and to also drop hints at future business ventures with them.

On why she fired the three co-stars:

“We reached a point, where were feel the show needs a new boost. It’s very difficult because I love my guys, they’re my guys. They’ve been there since the beginning of the show.”

On working with them in the future:

“My partner Ken Mok and I have projects we’re developing, and we’re a family, it doesn’t end.”
