Gwyneth Paltrow Catches Heat For Tweeting “N Word”, The Dream Jumps To Her Defense

Over the weekend, Gwyneth Paltrow hit Kanye West and Jay-Z’s “Watch the Throne” show in Paris, with Kelly Rowland, Beyonce and The Dream. The three were spotted rockin’ all night in the front row. One of the more monumental moments of the show was Ye and Jay performing “N*ggas in Paris” 11 times. Apparently, Paltrow got caught up in the excitement and tweeted the photo below, with the following caption:

After receiving some heat, she defended her tweet:

And The Dream, who was also at the show with Paltrow, defended her on Twitter explaining:
Nigga doesn’t have any power over me which is why this will be the last thing I say about it. A word means something when u react to it! Context is everything. Meaning it in the context as a Song which is how we Sold it to the world!!!!!! it is what it is. I’ve seen people not use the Word at all and have been the most racist people rather than use it in the context as the song it self. And Actually Niggaz was in Paris! Lol stop wasting gods time Do something with your life! Love not War.
What do you think? Was Paltrow wrong for tweeting the name of the song with that particular caption? Was it the “for real” part that was offensive? Or is everyone being too sensitive, since it’s actually the name of the song?

Well if you seen the footage there was a stadium full of white folks saying nigga. And the people that write the genius book of world records is going to write about niggas in Paris because it broke a record last night. But don’t get it twisted white folks watch what you say you may get that ass stomped if you use the word nigga in the wrong context, which means don’t say it at all, if you want to remain safe. I think kanye and jay said the word so much it was stuck in everyone’s head :-)
