Confirmed : Mariah Carey Is the New ‘American Idol’ Judge
Apparently, the rumors were true. After Jennifer Lopez announced that she’d be leaving American Idol, whispers began that Mariah Carey may be considered as a replacement. Monday afternoon, the Associated Press confirmed that the rumors were true–she is the newest judge. Mariah confirmed on a phone interview:
“I am so excited to be joining ‘American Idol…This kind of all just happened really quickly.”
She also expressed her excitement on twitter:
