Common Says He’s Single, Explains Why He Was Cup Cakin’ With Video Director

Ladies… exhale. Rapper/actor Common says he still single. Rumors were swirling earlier this week when Common (real name Lonnie Lynn, Jr.) was spotted in Atlanta nightclub dancing extremely close to video director Nzinga Stewart. While in Dallas promoting his new movie LUV (in theaters Friday), the 40-year-old Chicago native addressed his relationship status, saying that he’s 100% single. He explained:
I don’t have a girlfriend, I’m a single guy. I am defintely open to being in a nice, healthy relationship.
And on the photos with him Nzinga:
“..That’s my buddy. We were dancing and having fun.”
While, he’s currently single, in the past, he’s dated singer Erykah Badu and tennis champion Serena Williams for two years each. He has been linked (though never confirmed) to Oscar nominated actress Taraji P. Henson. Whew! That was a close one.
