Boxer Ryan Garcia Tests Positive For Banned Substance In Devin Haney Fight + Sued By Logan Paul For Defamation

Ryan Garcia was just hit with some major jabs.

It was reportedly confirmed today (May 23) that Ryan Garcia’s B-samples from drug tests conducted the day before and the day of his victorious April 20th fight against Devin Haney came back positive for the banned substance Ostarine. At this time it’s unclear what exactly this means for Ryan Garcia’s boxing career or recent win. However, the 25-year-old has already denied the allegations via his attorneys, who said, in part,

“Ryan Garcia is committed to clean and fair competition and has never intentionally used any banned substance.”

The statement continued,

“Soon after being notified of his positive test, Ryan voluntarily had his hair collected and shipped to Dr. Pascal Kintz, the foremost expert in toxicology and hair-sample analysis. The results of Ryan’s hair sample came back negative. This is consistent with contamination and demonstrably proves that Ryan had not ingested Ostarine over a period of time — the only way he would have had any advantage whatsoever in the ring.”

Unfortunately for Garcia’s legal team, this isn’t the only case of their client they have to deal with. Logan Paul shared today that his sports drinks company PRIME has filed a defamation lawsuit against Garcia. The multifaceted businessman/influencer posted the front page of his 20-page lawsuit on Instagram, captioning the image,

“I’ve had to spend the last couple months dismantling ridiculous claims about @drinkprime, and it’s become obvious…PRIME is under attack. Why?

1.) We’re a threat. PRIME is the most disruptive beverage in history and our competitors feel the pressure. It’s likely that we’ve been targeted as the victim of a smear campaign.

2.) Clout chasers know they can use PRIME’s goodwill for attention & views.

3.) People don’t like me or KSI. That’s fine. But if you don’t like PRIME, don’t drink it. No need to lie about the facts in an attempt to stay relevant.”

The caption continued,

“Today we begin to hold those accountable who’ve damaged our brand for attention while we correct the narrative. We’re here to stay and will continue to change the world of hydration with bold flavors and creative innovation”

Logan Paul didn’t end there. He then shared posts to his IG Stories mocking Garcia for his ongoing Ostarine scandal. He also posted alleged screenshots of DMs from Garcia blasting him for the suit.

The lawsuit seems to follow a recent social media rant from Garcia where he slammed Logan Paul and his drink company. In one post, he wrote,

“Logan Paul had sex with r Kelly

Allegedly”

In another he said,

“I drank prime and I tested positive for ostarine”

He also claimed,

“Bc prime is so nasty we should get a million likes

Like if you agree

Prime is so sh*t

Prime is so nasty it makes fish cry”
