Recap. Ochocinco's: the Ultimate Catch–"The Final Four"
Guest blogger, Yosh is back!!!! Check her recap.
Chad has narrowed down his potential love interest to four women–Tiphani, Rubi, Tara and Brittany. He takes them back to Cincinnati with him, while he gears up for mini-camp.
The first one-on-one date is with Tara at The Cincinattian Hotel. He takes her back to his room where they have a “hot-tub” date; meaning they get in the hot tub together. (…Come on Ocho, is that the best you could do?…) Apparently, the jacuzzi is extremely hot because Tara complains the entire time, “My vagina’s on fire.” (…I think she Tara uses her sarcasm as a defense mechanism…). After the fake ‘hot tub date,’ they meet up with Brittany for lunch, so it’s Chad, Brittany and Tara. Tara looks totally uninterested in the conversation.
Next, Chad and Brittany have their one-on-one date, where they hang out in his room w/ champagne. Brittany surprises Chad with a strip tease/lap dance (….get ’em boo…She is stepping it all the way up!). Chad was pleasantly surprised and called this his ‘best date yet.’
On his third one-on-one date, Chad takes Rubi on a romantic picnic date. Chad admits he has feelings for Rubi, but doesn’t know if they are superficial. Another simple date, picnic in the park with libations and lust. (…Snooze Fest is you ask me….)
Chad and Rubi meet up with Tiphani for his final date for a group dinner. So it’s Chad, Rubi and Tiphani at dinner. (Sidebar, while waiting Tiphani has a few shots….actually, more than a few…Tsk, tsk, tsk!) Rubi and Tiphani are a match-up on the brackets, so it’s important that both impress Chad. Tiphani keeps taking shots throughout dinner. (#Team wasted is in the building.)
Chad takes Tiphani off separately for a miniature date in his room. Attempting to break out of the “friend zone,” Tiphani releases the sex kitten in the bedroom and gets all the way loose!
Meanwhile, back at the hotel, Chad sends a sports psychologist to interview each woman and provide an assessment of whether or not she would be a good fit for him. The psychologist first interviews Rubi, where she shares that she’s too trusting. The psychologist next interviews Tiphani, where she seems to impress the psychiatrist, although her answers sounded scripted to me. Up next with the psychiatrist is Tara. Typical to her true performance thus far, Tara doesn’t take the psychiatrist serious and continues with the sarcasm. (…I’m convinced that Tara is trying to get her own spin-off show…I’m also convinced that Chad keeps Tara on the show for entertainment value…) Last up, the psychologist interviews Brittany, where she talks non-stop, non-stop, non-stop.
Chad gets briefed from the doc about each woman. She shares that Rubi seems like a good fit, but too trusting. Of Tiphani, the doc says she’s very independent. The doc shared that Brittany seemed strong and open, but that her child and issues with her ‘baby daddy,’ may cause some future challenges (red flag, drama). In terms of Tara, she called her antagonizing and said that she didn’t seem serious. This concerned Chad because this was an issue that he had w/ Tara from the very beginning.
One thing I can say about Ochocinco’s Ultimate Catch, the person who is looking for love is not afraid to go beyond measures to find out who is truly there for them. I can tell Chad’s not looking for a season two–even his “I’m so lonely” tweets seals the deal.
After his conversation with the doc, Chad is very concerned w/ Tara’s session with the doctor. He decides to break the rules, goes to the Executive Producer and requests to see the tape of Tara’s session w/ the doctor.
Fast forward to the elimination that takes places at yard line of Paul Brown Stadium with a conveniently placed flat screen TV. He starts with Tiphani–letting it be known that they took their friendship to the next level, but he wasn’t sure if it was because her drinking. He came to the conclusion that Rubi was very naïve and might crack under pressure dealing with him in a high-profile relationship. He doesn’t know who to choose between the two, so he asked them both to meet him in Miami!
He moves along to Tara and Brittany. He likes “B” a lot. She has the total package, but Ocho is concerned about issues with her son’s father. Tara is shown the tapes Chad requested and she just bursts out laughing. Chad admits that he probably should eliminate Tara, but is clearly a ‘fool’ in lust. He keeps both Tara and Brittany as well as and lets them know they’ll be joining Rubi and Tiphani is Miami.
I swear this was the most twisted episode this season and I’m waiting for it to be over with already. Hopefully next week we’ll get closer to who will be chosen as Ochocinco’s Ultimate Catch. Check back next week for another recap! Toodles!
