Marc Barnes Officially Parts Ways w/ Love Night Club + Club’s New Image
Thursday morning, a press release was distributed confirming that “the ABRA board approved the transfer of the liquor license from Mr. Marc Barnes & Okie Dokie, LLC to Mr. Dean Smothers and LoveDES, LLC. The new management will be headed by Mr. Dean Smothers, a respected Washingtonian, with extensive experience in real estate ventures, including another nightclub.”
According to the release, patrons may expect some changes to Love Night Club that will focus on the following key elements:
- Attract a diverse crowd. This will be done by maintaining the musical theme nights while gradually adding additional nights and themes to attract a more broad demographic.
- Track record. For almost a decade, Love has been the largest and most popular nightclub in Washington, DC, continuing the tradition of the club’s mass appeal and welcoming atmosphere will continue its’ success.
- Exceptional service. We will continue to provide the level of service that customers have come to know and expect.
