Russell Simmons Doesn’t Celebrate Thanksgiving: “Tough for me to celebrate the slaughter of Indians and the abuse of gods creatures.”
Russell Simmons, who has been a go hard (or at least in my mind) vegetarian since 1998, is a very serious animal rights activist, hence him practicing veganism. Uncle Russell took to twitter to briefly tell us why he doesn’t celebrate Thanksgiving.

“Ok today I tweet to all new veggie converts who are having their first thanksgiving without meat…For the living breathing enlightened beings All efforts are for the upliftment of the collective. In case ur wondering why I’m on twitter and playing w/my computer. I don’t celebrate thanxgiving. All love to those who do.”
He also added, “Life a celebration. Tough for me to celebrate the slaughter of Indians and the abuse of gods creatures.”
In addition to being a vegan, he also be on that deep sh*t (yeah, I said ‘be on that deep sh*t) and is a Buddhist.
