Vivica Fox & Boyfriend Engaged! + What’s up with the double-standard?

According to Page Six and the bling that 46 year-old Vivica showed on twitter, she and her 27 year-old boyfriend, Slim, got engaged over the Christmas Holiday.
This should come as no surprise, as a few weeks ago, Fox beamed on the Wendy Williams Show that she and her boyfriend were happily in love and the two were interested in marriage and children. According to a Page Six source, Slim (real name Omar White) laced Fox, the day after Christmas, with an 8-karat ring. He proposed to Fox (they’ve been dating for over a year) during their South Beach stay at the Ritz Carlton. Check the video of Slim showing off Vivica’s new ring here.

They're looking extra hood-tastical here, right?
One last thing…folks are really up in a tizzy because Viv’s old enough to be Slim’s momma. I mean, I get everyone’s concern, but what the eff is up with the double standard? Men do it ALL of the time and it’s acceptable, but when we (women) do it, we are scrutinized WAY more. I’m over the “age thing” and apparently they are too. Good for the both of them-congrats!
