(Updated) Serious Stabbing Outside of Popular DC Night Club, Redskins Player Injured

Friday evening, a serious stabbing took place outside of the popular, upscale DC night club, The Park at 14th. Allegedly, two persons were stabbed, one of which was a Redskins player, Brandon Banks. The stabbing took place outside of the club and was broken-up by club security. According to WSUA9, one of the men is in critical condition and the other man (Redskins player, Banks), is in stable condition.

Although, DC Police could not say whether the incident started inside the club, and then moved outside of the club, those that were present say that the incident started outside of the club. Allegedly, it started over what one of the men (who allegedly did the stabbing) was wearing. Reportedly, the two men (who were stabbed), made a few comments about the man’s attire (he was wearing all white) and a confrontation ensued. The suspect was arrested and is in police custody.

Updated–the Redskins released the following statement: “Brandon was not involved in any wrongdoing and was not implicated in any way. Brandon’s immediate concern is for his lifelong friend who is like a brother to him. He would like to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes for him and his lifelong friend.” More info on the story here.
