T-Pain Quits His Love Affair with Autotune, Upgrades to Another Boo
We will no longer hear T-Pain using auto-tune. On Thursday, he announced in a statement, “I’m done with Auto-Tune. I vow right here, right now, to never use Auto-Tune again.” Pain will replace Auto-Tune with his own voice-altering software, which he calls the T-Pain Effect. His web site explains,

His new sound is Trade Marked and you know he’s going to brand the hell out of it…probably charge for other artists to use the sound. Hustle. Harder.
