J.Lo Talks Love, Opens Up About Pending Divorce, “Sometimes it doesn’t work.”

Jennifer Lopez reveals her thoughts on love in an interview for Vanity Fair.
Some people, myself included, are just hopelessly romantic; on a constant search for that perfect love that we see most often in fairytales [Editor’s note:: my intern wrote this, not ME….i love love, but not as much as her :)] . For the record, we love her, but love ain’t always been on her side. J.Lo has been married twice before her most recent partnership with Marc Anthony. First she married Ojani Noa, whom she met while he was a waiter in Miami. Then she married Cris Judd, who was her back-up dancer at the time. And we can’t forget her various public relationships with other celebrities including Sean “P. Diddy” Combs and Ben Affleck (she almost married Ben as well, but the wedding was called off just a couple hours before it was supposed to take place). Anywho, for the September issue of Vanity Fair, Jennifer Lopez confesses that she is one of those people. Here are some of her quotes from the article.
On Marc Anthony:
“I will always respect Marc as a singer and performer. We actually work great together and he was always supportive. Together we could make magic — and we did. He will always be in our lives. He will always hold a special place in my heart as the father of my children.”
On Love:
“I’m a hopeless romantic and passionate person when it comes to love. It’s not that I didn’t love myself before. Sometimes we don’t realize that we are compromising ourselves. To understand that a person is not good for you, or that a person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself — if I stay then I am not doing the right thing for me. I love myself enough to walk away from that now.”
On Relationships:
“Sometimes it doesn’t work — and that’s sad. But I remain an eternal optimist about love. I believe in love. It’s still my biggest dream. I am positive — determined to move forward with my life, bring up my babies, and do the best job I can as a mother, entertainer, and person. I now look forward to new challenges. I feel strong.”
If what she said in this interview is true, then she will not be stopping there. Her words assert that she has been looking for love all along, despite having no success, and that she will continue to look until she finds that special one. Hopefully next time she will get what she’s looking for and prove to the rest of us love birds that true love really does exist.
Here’s another photo from her Vanity Fair shoot. Sexy!
