Former Band Member Claims Lauryn Hill Is Verbally Abusive, Wants $20k

Lauryn Hill’s ex-band member, Jay Gore, insists that the singer needs to pay him big bucks for all the hardships she put him through. In a lawsuit he filed against Lauryn Hill, he says,
“[She] would constantly verbally abuse members of her band behind the scenes of her European tour in 2007… After shows, Hill would demand that the musicians and road support personnel attend meetings where she would engage in a person-by-person critique and berating.”
TMZ also reports that he said, “At one point, Hill made a statement in front of the tour personnel to the effect that ‘I can’t believe I am paying you fools, you should be paying me!’” These claims have been recently added to his original lawsuit which only reported that Lauryn “stiffed him out of thousands of dollars” after he played for one of her shows. Why has he taken 4 years to add all the new allegations? We don’t know. Who knows, but Gore is requesting $20k total, for the harassment. His lawyer, Nicholas Andrea, said
“We believe there are other musicians who have been mistreated by Ms. Hill in a similar manner who are reluctant to stand up for their rights and this lawsuit gives them a voice as well.”
Lauryn, who is now 36 years old, has been in the public eye a lot lately. She originally began dating Rohan Marley in 1996, even though it was reported that he was already married. The two had five children together: Zion, Selah, Joshua, John an Sarah. Lauryn just gave birth to a sixth child on July 23rd. The public assumed that Rohan was the baby’s father this time as well but recent events have proved otherwise. Rohan has been rumored to be dating another woman now. And both he and Lauryn have released statements which imply that he is not the father this time. We love L-Boogie and wish her the best :(
