Friday morning, news hit that rapper TI, who just been released from federal prison, was returning to jail. The Associated Press reports that there was an issue concerning the transporation (pictured above) that he used when was moved from Arkansas to Atlanta. T.I.’s lawyer, Steve Sadow explained:
We are awaiting the opportunity to quickly resolve whatever the issue may be that the Federal Bureau of Prisons has with TI’s method of transportation, bus, from Arkansas to Atlanta, so that T.I. can return to the halfway house to complete the remaining days of his sentence.
Meanwhile, Traci Billingsley, a spokeswoman for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, told the AP that she couldn’t comment on the rapper’s status or his immediate whereabouts. P.S. we hear the issue was not drug-related. Tip’s wife, Tameka Harris, has not provided any tweets or updates as of yet.
Updated: Tiny, T.I.’s wife spoke with TMZ about the discrepancy with her husband traveling on a tour bus from prison. According to Tiny, prison officials knew that he was riding in a tour bus because they saw the bus AND took photos with T.I. on the bus. She explained,
“This is a bunch of bulls**t … they should have said something before he got on the bus … T.I. would have politely gotten into a van. T.I. is one of the strongest individuals I know … and they just trying to break him in more ways than one and it’s not gonna work! ‘Cause what God got for him, can’t no man take that away … period!”
