LeBron James Suits Up, Plays High School Football

NBA MVP, LeBron James visited his old high school in Akron, Ohio to pay more than just a visit.  While visiting St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, James suited up with the current players of the team for a scrimmage.

While James was in high school, he led the basketball team to three state titles but for about an hour last week, James joined the third-ranked Division III football team as their wide receiver.

The players on the team were more than excited to play with James.  Starting quarterback Kevin Besser said of James,

“I’m not gonna lie, it was pretty cool to see him out there. He caught everything, he didn’t drop a pass.  I probably threw six or seven passes his way and he went up and got everything.”

Running back Sae’Von Fitzgerald said,

“Our defensive backs were allowed to jam him at the line of scrimmage, but he took no contact after that. Coach [Dan Borman] said we shouldn’t tackle him.”

After the game, LeBron James tweeted about his experience, saying,

Interesting.  I guess LeBron James is good at more sports than just Basketball.
