Sh*t Happens, Kim Kardashian Files for Divorce

A number of outlets are reporting that after only 72 days, 31-year-old Kim Kardashian is filing divorce from Kris Humphries. Kardashian has cited,

“irreconcilable differences.”

We hear that the separation is listed as today, Oct. 31, 2011. Laura Wasser, will be representing Kardashian. This is not Kardashian’s first marriage. Back in 2000, she jumped the broom with music producer Damon Thomas (it ended in 2004). She also dated Ray-J, Reggie Bush, etc.  She and Humphries married this past summer (August), in an extravagant wedding (it reportedly cost $20 million).

Ryan Seacrest also confirmed the news via Twitter:

Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her, getting a statement in just a few mins

Meanwhile, Monday afternoon, Kardashian remained mum on twitter, promoting her new store:

Our store #KardashianKhaos is opening tomorrow at 9am at @TheMirageLV We are so excited!! Kardashian Khaos has arrived!

Updated (3:10 p.m.): Here’s a link to their divorce documents. Still no official statement from Ryan Seacrest. No official statement from Kris, other than he is “bummed” about the divorce. Lots of conflicting reports on the reasoning behind Kim filing.

Here is Kim Kardashian’s official statement:

“After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.“

Apparently, Humphries was a bit caught off guard with Kim’s decisision. He told TMZ,

“I’m committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents….I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce … I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.”

Am i the only one feeling bad for Kris?
