Vanessa Williams Lands Gig In Tyler Perry’s New Movie

Last week, Kim Kardashian tweeted about her exciting new acting gig in Tyler Perry’s new film, The Marriage Counselor. In the movie, Kardashian will play a co-worker to Jurnee Smollett, who has the star role as the counselor bored with her lack luster marriage. And over the weekend, news hit that the lead cast is complete with the addition of stars Vanessa Williams and Lance Gross. Williams will play Smollet’s mother and Gross, Smollet’s husband. The movie is based on Perry’s famous stage play, in which the counselor cheats with one of her own clients with the help of co-worker Ava (Kardashian) who gives her a makeover. Filming starts this week in Atlanta and Williams tweeted her excitement:

P.S. Clearly, there are better pix of Williams floating around but I thought it was cute that she took a pic of herself (this summer) sitting under the dryer, minus the “beaten-face” :)
