Drama-Continues :: Steve Harvey Gets Wife, Mary Harvey, Arrested

Despite the fact that Steve Harvey and his second ex-wife, Mary Shackelford have been divorced since 2005, they can’t seem to get rid of each other. Allegedly, Harvey had Shackelford thrown in jail, in front of her children and also hit her with a lawsuit and a temporary restraining order against their son, Wynton. In a 14 minute phone call interview with Shanae Hall, Harvey’s ex-wife talks about the arrest and says that Harvey is

“trying to restrict me from having a reality show, a book deal, doing radio..he’s trying to have me sound and gagged under the court system.”

She also states that she is not even sure what the lawsuit is over and speculates that it could be over a missed court date that she had filed a continuance over, that could have been denied. Back in January, Shackleford did some semi-tell-all videos about her dysfunctional marriage to Harvey. In the videos, she claimed that he was a serial cheater and that she got nothing in the divorce settlement. However, court documents proved that, in fact, Mary got $40,000 a month till March 2009 and $1.5 million afterwards. She also claimed that she was evicted from her home but she was actually awarded three homes in the property settlement. As a result of the videos, in February a judge placed a gag order which prevented her from speaking negatively about Harvey in the media. But that only lasted till March.
