Diva-Antics :: Patti LaBelle Goes H.A.M. On Mother…Throws Water & Obscenities

A Manhattan couple is suing Patti LaBelle for an incident that occurred last November in their hotel lobby. Kevin and Roseanna Monk, who are filing the lawsuit, claim that they got into an argument/semi-altercation with LaBelle over their child-rearing skills. Kevin says that the couple’s child took a few steps away from them (while they struggled w/ a car seat and some other items) in the building’s lobby, and LaBelle chastized the couple. The couple told LaBelle to (basically) mind her business, so a back-and-forth verbal exchange took place (all in the lobby, mind you). The couple claims that the singer was carrying a water bottle and started throwing water on the couple and cursing and yelling. The couple also claims that the singer “charged and tried to hit her.” A police report was filed, no arrests were made and the lawsuit doesn’t share specified damages. P.S.
