Etta James Hospitalized, “She is on a breathing machine & is resting.”

According to reports shared on Saturday morning, things are not looking well for 73-year-old R&B, soul, and blues singer, Etta James. James, who was previously deemed terminally ill, is now in the hospital on a breathing machine. For years, she has been suffering from leukemia, kidney disease, and dementia. At one point, she was also suffering from obesity and a heroin addiction. Her live-in doctor said that lately she has been communicating mostly with nods and simple words. Earlier this week, after having trouble breathing, she was sent to the California hospital closest to where she lives. Her manager, Lupe DeLeon explained,

“They took her to the hospital. She was having trouble breathing, so they intubated her. She is on a breathing machine and is resting.”
