‘Love & Hip-Hop’s’ Erica Mena Says VH1 Portrayed Her As The ‘Bad Guy’

Although viewers found the scene between ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ cast member, Kimbella and newly introduced member, Erica Mena, quite entertaining, turns out that Mena was none too pleased. Mena feels as if she was edited unfairly and the scene portrayed Kimbella as an angel. Because of this, she even requested that VH1 pull the scene entirely. She told TMZ,
“My whole image and my career is now affected by this. I wanted them to pull this clip because I don’t want to show this side of me.”
And Wednesday afternoon, Mena did an interview with Cherry Martinez on Power 105, where she talks about the entire fight that aired Monday.
On what really upset her to verbally attack Kimbella:
“My career was being compared to hers…we’re mothers…we’re grown women….I’m not a violent person…Editing is a mutha.”
On why she called the police:
“Once everything hit the fan, I knew I was by myself…my belongings weren’t with me….everything happened so fast….My whole thing is; they took my phone and were holding it.”
On her fight this summer with her child’s father:
“My break-up wasn’t the most healthiest…I had enough and needed to defend myself…years of frustration. It was my breaking point….It took a long time for us to get on the same terms….That’s where we’re at right now.
