Beyonce & Jay-Z Deliver Baby Girl, Blue Ivy Carter + Her Name ‘Decoded’

According to a few sources, Saturday evening, Beyonce and Jay-Z had a healthy baby girl, via c-section. Reportedly, the couple had the baby at Lenox Hill Hospital. The Houston Chronicle reports:

“Beyoncé has given birth to a girl early this evening in New York, says a close source. Baby and mom are doing fine.”

So what’s baby girl’s name? E! Online reports that her name is, Blue Ivy Carter. So, why the name Ivy? As you know, Beyonce and Jay-Z are both obsessed with the #4. And thanks to our Twitter friend, @Mattieologie, we may know why. Pure speculation here, but peep the tweet below.

The name Blue? Let’s see…. Blue is the 4th color on the color wheel. Or it perhaps since it’s Jay’s favorite color and ummm, a reference to his album the Blue Print? Who knows no official word has come from Beyonce or Jay-Z’s camp. Stay Tuned. [E!Online]
