Raven Symone Does NOH8 + Takes Her Talents to Broadway

Raven Symone ended 2011 on a little bit of a rough note. Her sitcom, State of Georgia, was cancelled mid season, but as we like to say, one monkey don’t stop no show. Raven was just named the latest celeb to join the NOH8 campaign. The campaign is a charitable organization that focuses on promoting marriage, human and gender equality through various visual projects as well as social media, education, and advocacy. By participating in the NOH8 campaign, Raven joins the ranks of Kim Kardashian, Steve-O, Kim Zolciak, and a ton of other celebs. Revealing her participation in the campaign, she tweeted:

And in other Raven news, the actress will be staring in the lead role for the broadway production, Sister Act. This isn’t her first time on broadway. She made her acting debut 20 years ago at the age of 5, singing with the Boys Choir of Harlem. Whoopi Goldberg, who starred in the lead role in the 1992 movie, is acting as producer for this broadway adaptation. She’ll begin rehearsals at the end of February and begins her 6 month stint on the stage at the end of March. [Source] [Source] [Source]
