Terrell Owens’ Child Support Problems Continue :: Jail Could Be Next
Ex-NFL player, Terrell Owens, has been on a downward spiral ever since he was unable to get any team to resign him in 2011, once his contract with the Cincinnati Bengals ended. As a result, T.O took on a job, playing for an Indoor Football League team (the Allen Wranglers). After that, three of his baby-mothers came for him in court, demanding that he pay up in child support. Since then, there has been a constant battle between T.O and his exes. If that’s not enough of a headache, recently two of his Dallas homes were foreclosed. At one point he asked for the payments to be reduced, to match his decrease in income. But his plea was denied. According to the judge, he still makes enough money ($45K per year) to pay all of his child support bills.
And his baby mommas aren’t cutting him any slack either. Melanie Paige Smith filed a petition in Atlanta to have T.O fined and/or jailed if he doesn’t pay the $20,000 he owes her for child supprt, soon. Thus far, there has been no response to the petition, but a decision is expected to be reached soon. Hopefully, T.O, the mother of his children, and the law can sort all this drama out, and come up with a solution that works for all parties involved, soon.
