Cassie Does ‘Wonderland Magazine’, Explains Absence: “I needed to grow up.”

Peep the slicks from Cassie’s (real name Casandra Elizabeth Ventura) shoot with Wonderland magazine. The editorial is featured in the upcoming April/May issue.
On her absence:
“Yeah I’ve been away for a while. But the time has helped me grow. I needed to grow up. What’s weird is that doing all of this…magazines, shoots, talking about things…I didn’t know whom I was talking about. I didn’t understand what was going on. But now I wanna do this. It’s all been towards the LP.”
On what to expect on the new album:
“Believe it or not I’m not doing the same sound for the album. I still have R&B roots, ballads, pop, a bit of everything, it’s just fun to experiment.”
On being comfortable in her own skin:
“I’m much more comfortable with where I am at right now. I’m more excited than I’ve ever been about this next project and right now I can’t wait for y’all to hear it.”
