Cissy Houston Gives Rihanna Middle Finger; Says She Can NOT Play Whitney In Biopic

News about an upcoming Whitney Houston biopic has been floating around since late February. Vivica Fox, Jordin Sparks, Jennifer Hudson, and Willow Smith have all been mentioned to potentially play the role of the late R&B singer. But Rihanna‘s name topped the list, as the most likely candidate to be chosen for the role. And in a recent interview, the pop star announced that she would love to play Whitney, who is one of her idols. But, now, Whitney’s mother, Cissy Houston, has come forth to assert that she refuses to let Rihanna portray Whitney in the biopic. According to a National Enquirer source (questionable source, but hell, sometimes they have it right), when Ms. Cissy heard that Rihanna was being considered, she declared, “Over My Dead Body!” The source also claims that,
“Cissy believes Rihanna celebrates everything she hated about Whitney’s life — the drugging, the boxing, the abusive relationship. Cissy does not think Whitney should be represented by someone like Rihanna. In spite of what anyone thought about Whitney, she sees her as a God-fearing Christian who loved the Lord. Cissy is also dead-set against a movie being made about Whitney without family involvement because she fears outsiders would focus too much on the negative aspects of her daughter’s troubled life. Cissy said if there is a movie made about Whitney, she would insist on approving the actress. And Rihanna certainly would not be on the list.”
If the rumors are true, do you think Cissy’s decision to NOT have Whitney portrayed by Rihanna was right?
