[Video] Michael Ealy Brings “Think Like A Man” To Howard University + Dishes Love Advice, “Don’t fall in love in college.”

Howard University was buzzing with excited students (mainly the ladies) when “Think Like A Man” star, Michael Ealy, came to campus to promote the film. While in D.C., Ealy made some radio appearances, and attended the premiere for the film. He also held a press conference and a meet & greet for Howard University students (along with Jasmine of the Jasmine Brand and Panama Jackson of Very Smart Brothas), where he expressed his views on relationships and talked about his role in the film. Ealy shared that his character in the film, Dominic, is much like himself when he was in his 20s. Here are some excerpts from the meet & greet:
On whether or not women should think like men:
“In a relationship, it would be strategic and wise to understand how a man thinks. I don’t think a woman can actually think like a man, what makes women dope is that they’re thinking like women. I think what we’re trying to do with the movie, and what Steve was trying to do with the book, is to give some sort of insight to how men think.”
On if men will enjoy the movie:
“The film is a “guy’s movie” that most men can relate to. This is not a chick flick. We learn that we can’t live without women, but the guys will recognize themselves in each one of us. If they don’t recognize themselves, they’ll recognize someone they know.”
And on what college students need to know about love:
“Don’t fall in love in college. You’re way too young to be all lovey-dovey in college. If you break up, it’s not the end of the world. You’ll probably fall in love a couple of more times before it’s right. You might even get married before you get it right. Just have fun. Be safe, but have fun.”
