[Updated] BBallWives Cast Boycotting Reunion Show Because of Jennifer’s Lawsuit Against Nia
This season of Basketball Wives has proven to be quite a doozy. On the most recent episode, we watched an altercation between Nia Crooks (Evelyn’s assistant) and cast-mate, Jennifer Williams, that involved a slap of sorts. Each party (Nia, Evelyn and Jenn) voiced their versions of the story to the media (via interviews and personal blogs) and we’ve also learned that Jenn has slapped Nia back with a lawsuit (for assault), claiming that she was badly injured during the attack.
And because of the lawsuit (that Jenn is hitting Nia with), we hear that several Basketball Wives have refused to tape the upcoming reunion show next month. Cast mates say that Jenn’s lawsuit was filed out of spite and desperation,
“to dredge up drama around her character — in the vain hope of securing a spot on the show next season”.
Some of the cast have refused to speak to her (film, we assume) and are threatening not to attend the reunion show early next month. Exactly who are the cast members that refuse to attend the reunion? No one has been confirmed, but we ASSUME Evelyn, Tami and PERHAPS Shaunie (who usually stays clear of direct conflict).
UPDATED: Tami Roman has responded to the recent rumor that ‘certain’ cast mates may boycott the reunion show. She tells Sister 2 Sister,
“Many things have transpired over the past few weeks, in which certain individuals feel uncomfortable in each others’ space. We are working out the details to ensure that ‘Basketball Wives’ brings a high energy, fun and eventful reunion to the viewers.”
Meanwhile, Tami’s twitter reflects a different perspective. She appears to have NEVER heard about the boycott.

I sure would watch and why are they mad she is pressing charges. That is what you are supposed to do. Nia wanted to be big bad ass now deal with the consequences. They are so stupid. This need to be their last season. When Tami was sueing Evelyn over some stupid ass TShirt it was ok.

OMJ I told my mom the same thing. These girls are ubber fake. Shaunie and Tami were talking about they were going to blast Jennifer about her friendship with Royce, but went to the movie viewing and didn’t say a word. Then they wanted to get vocal when Evelyn was around, really? And I thought Tami was real, but she’s only real DRAMA. Then they are made about a paper filed against them that Tami “heard about.” (probably from Evelyn, because Jen was confused about why Tami was concering herself with the document in the first place. Are you serious, these girls are acting very trashy. The only ones with any good sense (at least hald anyways) are Royce (that’s my girl), Kesha, Jennifer and Suzie (occasionally). Trust if they don’t show, they won’t be missed by me. Less yelling and more of an actual review of the season because EVERYONE else will actually be able to speak. I’m happy that Jen is pressing charges against Nia. Pay the press of things that you do wrong sweetie. I do agree with Chantell when she said that she believes Jen was set up. The new girl Kiesha is a butt kisser. She didn’ have to bring up the incident that happened with Kenya. Why did she have to ask Eve if she was alright. All of it was a bunch of bull and if they dont come to the Reunion I still will be watching.
I agree with Sashama and Chantell. Jen was set up and she should sue her. Shaunie, knew what was going to happen and I believe Nia was on something, shades and she was intirely to hyped. I will watch the reunion; because the cast make the show not Tammie and or Evelyn. They are drama queens. Jen is too classy and should have her own reality show.
I’d be more prone to watch it if Tammi, Evelyn & Shaunie boycott. This entire season has been fighting and getting to the bottom of some he said she said crap. Alot of us are so disgusted but watch anyway. What we need to do is BOYCOTT THIS TRAIN WRECK just like minnie, mo and jack are threatening to do. If we boycott the sponsors of this show, I bet ya they would move it in a different direction.
Wrong. The lawsuit was filed because Crooks was attempting to get her 15 minutes of fame at Jenn’s expense. Now deal with it. The cast members that state otherwise are just showing more of their ignorance.
Of course they refused to speak to her because if you don’t play follow the leader then they try to allienate you so that you can be removed from the show. Since Tammi and Ev are both stuck up Shaunie’s but, they are safe.
This is my last season watching this show.It used to be entertaing but now its just so hood. I agree with Chantell’s opinion. If Jen chooses to cut certain people off thats her right. I hope Nia learns a lesson. Shaunie don’t have any control over her show and I think its sad to see women not acting like ladies.

Shaunie is a pimp and they’re all her hoes. Jen didn’t have to file a lawsuit for activity around her “character”. All of the drama between she and the cast was enough to guarantee her at least one more season. Come on. Let’s be for real here. Plus she’s bringing celebrities and exclusive screenings to the show. IMO, they need Jen at this point.
Shaunie gets the pots stirred and sits back to watch it all go down!!. She is sneaky. If they had problem with Jen, they should have addressed it at the movie viewing. Everybody talking about Nya but what the hell kind of wing she had on?…That was a hot mess and it look like those wings from Set It Off. I still don’t understand why they even brought this chick on the show. I never really like Jen but she doesn’t deserve this. Those chicks are not her friends. Shaunie & Eve is scared of Tami and they are going to stay on her good side. I agree with everything everybody is saying. BBW this season is CORNY for real & I said that when I watched the 2nd show. They brought Kenya & Keisha on that show for more drama. Why can’t these ladies act like they have some class. They need to be watching “Mary Mary” and they could learn from them. #1 we all know that the show is for entertainment purposes only. #2 I hate how they did poor Kenya…they came off as evil haters. Even if they feel she has no talent-who are they to dash someone’s dreams? And I do not see where Kenya is trying to copy anyone’s style. No similarities whatsoever. Black women change their hair, shoes and purses like they change panties so we are bound to have some of the same things. Kesha…hated her lame throw kenya under the bus behind. Loved when Kenya told Evelyn she eluded to her being a ho. Evelyn said she wanted to hear it and could have fought Kesha then, but NOOOOO she waits until she has an even bigger audience and her hype girls and asks Kenya to repeat it when she already admitted what she said…so now she mad and wanna throw bottles…HO SIT DOWN! And #3 in defense of Jennifer, I feel that she has been pushed to her limit all season. They are finding really petty reasons to be upset with her. No one has given a concrete reason as to why there is so much anger and animosity towards her. She never said anything about Chad publicly that she did not say to Evelyn privately. “Attention whore” is really not that bad in the scheme of what he really is. He has publicly stated that he has a hard time being faithful and doesn’t mind an open relationship. Also Jennifer stated in her blog that she and Evelyn date different types of men…what was wrong about that? No she didn’t invite all the ladies to her makeup launch, but I think that she just did not want any drama ruining her big day. Her relationship w/Shaunie is suffering b/c unfortunately Shaunie is in the middle of her and Evelyn’s relationship. Shaunie is the exec. producer of the show and knows that Evelyn is the most popular character and if push comes to shove…would probably choose Evelyn b/c it makes since business wise to keep her happy. Jennifer stated she does not fight her battles physically. She was justified in issuing those papers from her lawyer to protect her physically since she does not wish to engage that way (as much as I would like to see her lose her cool and whip Evelyn’s a##!) Lastly, I do not believe Jennifer has an issue w/Nia. She is just enjoying meeting and hanging out w/new people. We all go through phases of friendships and if you are a true friend you understand and let them go thru whatever they need to at the time. Jennifer only talked about Nia’s 2BR apt b/c it was the only way she could fight back was to try and hurt her verbally…come on now…we all do that in the heat of the moment when we are fired up say the wildest, most hurtful things in that moment that we don’t really mean…Come on now she was sleeping at ur house and chillin w/u everyday and had ur key…but u really think she meant what she said. Forgive and move on! You put ur hands on her b/c ur girl had hyped you up and now your relationship may be irreparable b/c i don’t play that puttin ur hands on me. This is also my first time responding to any thing overall. I watch the show every week and I myself do not like to be involved in drama, but I do like to watch drama. I feel that they have gone to far with messing with Jen! I hope she stickit to Nia!! I do not like Shaunie! Tami! and Evelyn! Yes, keisha is a ass kisser, with her scary ass, when kenya took off her shoes, keisha got up and left, lol!! But kenya is a bit off. Royce is sweet and Jen, every one else are full of cramp
Shaunie should have gotten Evelyn in check weeks ago BUT she continues to remain silent about the violence and she continues to coddle Evelyn’s disgusting behavior because she wants high ratings. No one deserves to be bullied and this show shows that there is no repercussions to bullying someone else(until now). These are adults and the message is frightening!!!! Shame on VH1 and Shaunie for allowing Jennifer and Keyna, to suffer attacks at the hands of Evelyn. DISGRACEFUL!!!!!

Why would the Evelyn, Tami and PERHAPS Shaunie not attend the reunion. The lawsuit isn’t against them; and Nia was dead !@# wrong for walking around the table and slapping Jenn. Why would grown !@%# women support Nia’s actions? I wouldn’t give a !@#$ if Evelyn didn’t show up, but Tami should have learn her lessons a few episodes ago; and Shaunie, please. She can’t make an informed decision w/o having a full (coverall) discussion with someone. Will she ever make the right decision, ever? Jenn called Nia a bull !@#@$ in the heat of the moment.
