Part Of Tyler Perry’s Studio Collapses In Fire, Peep The Photos

Last night Tyler Perry‘s huge, 200,000 square-foot Atlanta studio caught on fire. The cause is still unknown, but the fire got so serious that part of the front of the building collapsed. The parkway nearby had to be closed and 96 firefighters were needed in order to help put the blaze out. Thankfully, no injuries resulted although I’m sure this hit Tyler Perry pretty hard. The 42-year old writer/director/producer/actor was there, observing, as fire officials worked. The building, which has been functioning since 2008, features 5 stages, a 400-seat theater, a screening room, and several event rooms. The Atlanta Fire Rescue Department released a statement, claiming the fire was finally brought under control around 9:45 PM EST. Tyler hasn’t made any response (via twitter or interview) as of yet. Peep the photos.
