Ear Hustlin’ : Would Pharrell Williams Be A Good Fit for ‘American Idol’?

With the job up for grabs, it looks like celebs that are interested are competing to become one of the judges on Fox’s American Idol. Recently, buzz began circulating that Virginia’s own rapper/producer Pharrell Williams (who was responsible for putting out hits like Beautiful, Drop It Like Its Hot and many more) may be in the running as an AI judge. As you know, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler ended their stint on the show and last week Mariah Carey confirmed her participation (check that story out here). An insider from U.S. weekly claims that the N.E.R.D is close to inking his name on the line stating that,
“Everything is looking good, but they’re still working out details.”
Fox nor Williams have confirmed or denied these allegations. Do you think this is a good career move for Pharrell? Would you tune in to watch if he gets involved? Is Idol ready for such an Urban twist with Mariah Carey AND Pharrell?
