Details : Chris Lighty Commits Suicide + Celebs Mourn

According to confirmed reports, 44-year-old music industry leader Chris Lighty (and former Violator co-founder) has committed suicide. A number of tweets have been sent out from industry insiders, celebrities and close friends.










Updated: The NY Daily News has confirmed that Lighty’s death was an apparent suicide. The site reports that Lighty:
was found dead inside his South Riverdale apartment about 11:30 a.m., police sources said. It appeared he died from a bullet to his head. A gun was recovered next to his body. Law enforcement sources said Lighty — who divorced his wife, Veronica, last year — may have been dealing with financial struggles, including owing about $5 million to the IRS.
