Cosby Show’s Keshia Knight Pulliam & Tempestt Bledsoe Reunite for New NBC Sitcom
If you are an 80’s baby, chances are, you were a fan of ‘The Cosby Show’, starring the show’s creator, Bill Cosby, Phylicia Rashad, Sabrina Le Beauf, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Lisa Bonet, Tempestt Bledsoe and Keshia Knight-Pulliam. Since the season finale (back in 1992), folk have yet to see an official reunion. However, a new sitcom is reuniting two of the sisters. NBC’s ‘Guys With Kids’ (which aired last fall) will feature Keshia (she portrayed the four year old Rudy Huxtable) and Tempestt (she played Rudy’s nine year old sister Vanessa), who will reunite for the first time, as sisters once again, but this time as adults. The show is a new comedy (by Emmy Award-winning executive producer and funny man Jimmy Fallon), about three 30-something dads who try to hold on to their youth as they face the responsibilities of having kids. In an interview with Yahoo’s Michael Yo from the Yo Show, the two discussed their new gig. Tempestt explained:
“Marny (Tempestt’s character) is married to Gary (played by Anthony Anderson), they have four boys all under the age of eight and they are just trying to survive. Its crazy!”
Keshia adds,
“And I’m Bridgette. Marny’s younger baby sister who is a little whimsical, kind of all over the place, hasn’t had to be an adult grown up yet even though she’s 33 years old, but she’s really sweet and fun and really harmless”.
TV fans will see Keshia and Tempestt together on season two; no word on whether Keshia will be a regular. Guys With Kids broadcasts on NBC on Wednesdays at 8:30 pm/7:30 pm Central Time.
