[Photos] Niecy Nash Hosts ‘It’s Hard to Fight Naked’ Release x Jill Scott, Cedric The Entertainer, Singer Brandy, Tami Roman & Friends Attend

Comedian and actress Niecy Nash can now add author to her list of accomplishments. The star of TV Land’s hit show,’The Soul Man’ celebrated the release of her first book, ‘It’s Hard To Fight Naked,’ at the Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel in Beverly Hills.

The event was hosted by OMG Insider’s Kevin Frazier and included a performance from Grammy winning singer Brandy. On screen husband and ‘Soul Man’ co-star Cedric The Entertainer, Torrei Hart, Tami Roman, Jill Scott, Elise Neal and other celebs supported the new author. During an interview on The Tom Joyner Morning Show, Niecy confessed that the initial title of the book was controversial, ‘Stomach Full, Penis Empty’, but she decided against it:

It was a war of wills between myself and the publisher. But I sill love the title even though its not my first choice. This book is for grown folk.

She also discussed the motivation behind the book:

I’ve been the wife, I’ve been the ex-wife so I’ve been through so many things. I didn’t write this book because I feel like I’m an expert. I wrote the book because I feel like I’ve been through so many things so it dawned on me that we struggle the most at the things we were created for which is love.I just invited people to think differently about matters of that heart.
