Love & Hip Hop Atlanta reality star/rapper Lil’ Scrappy (real name Darryl Richardson) returned to court this week, to find out whether or not a judge will revoke his probation. The AJC reports that the 29-year-old ATL native was ordered to provide a urine sample to test for illegal drugs. Prosecutors alleged that he switched his urine during a routine drug screening that is required as a condition of his probation. On Wednesday, DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Daniel Coursey continued the probation revocation hearing until next Wednesday to allow the urine sample to be processed and to make a ruling accordingly. Scrappy is on probation for a 2008 first-offender plea to felony marijuana and gun possession charges. The hearing is scheduled for May 22. P.S. A little birdie told us that his reality co-star, Shay Johnson, went with him to court. No word on if his ex-fiance, Erica Dixon, was in attendance.
And in totally non-related news, this week, Will Smith and his son Jaden appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, one after news hit that the 14-year-old teenage actor wanted an emancipation from his family. Both were on the show, promoting the new film, ‘After Earth’.
See, here’s the thing that you need to understand: I’m not going anywhere. The thing that people don’t get is everything at this house is free! So I can get anything and everything at his house, so I’m going to be there 20, 30 more years.
So how did the actual rumor get started?
I think I made a joke in Tokyo. I mean, my baby boy, he’s never leaving me, ever. No emancipation for the Smith kids.
And here’s footage of him addressing the rumors:
