Kendu Calls Mary J. Blige Fan A Stupid A**hole For Criticizing His Wife’s Tax Woes
Listen twitter friends…if you think you’re just gonna sit on twitter and pop slick about your favorite or not so favorite celebrity, you’ve got this whole social media thing wrong. A fan (or critic, we can’t figure it out which) had some constructive things to say about Mary J. Blige’s financial standings.
Earlier this week, a story ran in the USA Today, claiming that MJB and her husband Kendu Isaacs, had been hit with a $3.4 million tax lien in New Jersey. The site reported:
Court documents show the Internal Revenue Service filed a notice of a lien on the nine-time Grammy Award winner Feb. 7. That was two days before the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul was honored at a pre-Grammy party in Los Angeles. Blige and husband Martin Isaacs have a home in Cresskill, N.J., about 15 miles north of New York City. Court documents show as of the date of the IRS notice Blige owed more than $574,000 for the 2009 tax year, more than $2.2 million for 2010 and more than $647,000 for 2011.
A young man on twitter (@iNewYorker), tweeted Kendu:
Go home & raise your kids, Mary needs a professional team. And being quite don’t make anything better. Who’s gonna lie about an IRS lien? (@TMZ) I never came for y’all relationship, dummy. You a bad manager.
And I’m guessing that didn’t go over too well. A defensive Kendu barked back, tweeting:
@iNewYorker you are a asshole. You do nothing but sit online and watch others lives and think you know what your talking about. get ur own life and live it! My wife & I are fine & u believe that stupid shit if U want to, because u have nothing else to do.
Ouch! Did the fan/critic go too far and should he mind his own business, as he may not be privy to the details of Blige’s financials? Or do you feel that Kendu may in fact be a sucky manager?

I think the fan was out of line not knowing facts but at the same time, if Kendu is her “manager” then yes, he sucks at it. She should in no way be buying houses, cars or anything else while owing the IRS that kind of money!! What the hell? They are both at fault really…but I’m sure we’ll hear something like “the accountant screwed up the accounts” or some other b/s. Such a shame because they’re not playing with these celebrities nowadays. Mary may be the next one going to jail.
I think Kendu was wrong, he fan/critic can say what he thinks, but when you call a person a name for saying something you dont like thats wrong. Why did Kendu get so mad to respond if it was no truth to it.
The fan was DEAD wrong and is some dude looking for attention via Twitter. If he is team Mary then STFU and wish her well and know all the facts before opening your mouth!
Dead wrong…. Imagine someone blast u on twitter about info (true/false) that they heard and tell u u suck…….all rite then
I agre with the Mrs. Kendu was wrong. You you chose to make your money off the public, then the public has a right to comment. Without fans she wouldn’t be in a position to owe the IRS that much money- so yes the fan is able to say what he wants. Kendu got defensive bc we all know her career has not been the same since he took over. Heck, on the episode of Tamar and Vince she didn’t even appear her jovial self! Something’s not write, and eventually it will start to leak, with the start of it being this financial nightmare. I do wish her all the best. Been a fan since “What’s the 411”.
The IRS is coming for all those celebs that owe. The fan was out of line how he came at them by telling them to go raise the kids. That has nothing to do with the taxes. Kendu was wrong for calling him an a**hole. So in the end both responses were over the top.
It seems the IRS has a check list…..revisit all report celebs Uncle Sam going over everything with a fins tooth comb. They trying to recoup $$ lost
