[UPDATED] Despite Being Robbed (Not Shot), 2 Chainz Performs At Oakland’s Summer Jam

So, late Sunday evening, a nasty rumor hit surrounding rapper 2 Chainz. Again, this was an unconfirmed rumor, but allegedly while in Oakland the 35-year-old Georgia native was robbed and shot at multiple times in Oakland. Multiple sites reported:

2 Chainz has reportedly been robbed and shot at multiple times in Oakland, California. This certainly puts a damper on tonight’s KMEL Summer Jamfestivities, where the artist formerly known as Tity Boi (and maybe again soon if he doesn’t get his chains back) was set to perform. Initial rumors say that the robbery stems from a marijuana deal gone bad. Not a lot of details have been revealed as of yet, but we will keep you up to date as the story unravels.

What did WE find out? We spotted a tweet from someone who claims to have been at a place in San Fransisco where the rapper was shot.

And while 2 Chainz hasn’t officially responded to the above said rumor, folk at Oakland’s Summer Jam concert seem to suggest that all is well. A few are tweeting that he performed.

So, for now, at least we can kill part of the rumor–that he was shot multiple times. #Whew.

UPDATED: According to TMZ, 2 Chainz and his camp did in fact get robbed. Reportedly, San Francisco police department responded to a shots-fired call just after 4:30 p.m. When they arrived at the scene, 2 Chainz wasn’t cooperative and asked to handle it himself. So what happened? 2 Chainz told police that only his wallet was stolen. But when officers reviewed surveillance footage, it showed 2 Chainz was the intended target. And as you know, the rapper performed at 106 KMEL’s Summer Jam later that evening. Monday afternoon: 2 Chainz posted the following message on twitter:

Rule #1 if a rapper gets robbed people usually post items that has been taken. Rings, chains, watch , money etc. 2 answer that question … Rule#2 if a rapper gets shot he usually go to hospital or dies . Rule# 3 we definitely got geeked up in San Fran , best smoke in the world. 2 blessed 2 stress …I reportedly killed summer jam tho! #bayarea … Haha timeline filled with people that want me fucked up . I tell them, get in line u can’t stop this shit. Ha
