D.Woods Responds to Being Left Out of Danity Kane Reuniting on the VMA’s: ‘Don’t Think You Know the Whole Story!’
A night before their performance, Danity Kane hinted they’d be reuniting at the MTV Video Music Awards. In 2005, the all-girl group, formed by Diddy, came on the music scene with members including: Aubrey O’Day,Wanita “D. Woods” Woodgett, Shannon Bex, Dawn Richard, and Aundrea Fimbres. In 2008, things went awry and the group split. All group members were ultimately released from their contracts with Bad Boy Records later within the year. Earlier this year, the group reunited, with the exception of D.Woods. And over the weekend, fans were excited to hear that they’d officially be joining forces, as a group, in front of the world to see. So the big question is, where is D.Woods?
Earlier this year, D.Woods’ publicist released this statement:
It has been brought to my attention that my former group members of Danity Kane will be reuniting and while I will not be a part of the reunion; I wish the ladies blessings and much success on their endeavors. My focus is on the future and all of the exciting opportunities it holds, I thank you all for your continued support and I cannot wait for you to hear my new music and see my theater and film projects.
And earlier today, D.Woods reacted to her former group’s appearance on MTV VMAs, writing:
There’s a lot of people talking, but there’s nothing but love. Today’s #GOLDMINEOFTHEDAY is none other than @Aubreyoday, @shannon_bex, @dawnrichard,@aundreafimbres1 otherwise known as @danitykane. Don’t think you know their whole story cuz you watched part of their jounrey on MTV. These ladies are just getting started. Stay tuned…WERRRK!.#GOLDMINE is on ITUNES
Would you prefer to see DK reunite WITH D.Woods or the show must go on, with out w/out D.Woods?
